The inability to conceive is defined as a disease by the WHO and is a great burden for affected couples. The latest scientific research findings and treatment options for infertility improve the chances of conceiving. Our fertility consultation team offers an expert and comprehensive evaluation of the factors affecting fertility, this service is covered by health insurances. This also includes the evaluation of your partner with the help of our specialists in urology.

Our fertility team will accompany you from the first examination to the actual treatment. In the initial consultation, we will outline the detailed evaluation procedure as well as the various treatment options available. Infertility procedures are partially covered by health insurance once a cost reimbursement has been secured.

Depending on the results of the assessment, the Zug Cantonal Hospital can offer the following therapies:

• Cycle monitoring
• Follicle stimulation
• Induction of ovulation
• Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) with prepared sperm

In cases involving endometriosis or the evaluation of the integrity of the fallopian tubes, our team of doctors can also perform minimally invasive operations

If the only treatment that might be considered is in vitro fertilisation (IVF), we cooperate closely with our partner the OVA IVF Clinic in Zurich. This clinic is run by Dr. med.Peter Fehr. If you wish, the clinic can also perform what is referred to as "social freezing".

Once you have conceived, we will of course be delighted to continue to care for you up to and including the birth. Alternatively, you may choose to remain under the care of your original gynaecologist.
