CONSULTATION HOURS FOR TRAVEL MEDICINE AND IMMUNISATIONS
The Zug cantonal hospital now offers consultation hours for all aspects of travel medicine and immunisations. These are held in the infectious diseases department.
Consultations are intended for people
- planning a trip or a longer stay in another country. Ideally, a travel medicine consultation should take place 4 to 6 weeks before departure. We are, of course, also available if you have any symptoms after returning from a trip.
- general consultation on all aspects of vaccination.
- a consultation on specific immunisation needs, that may for example arise as a result of undergoing chemotherapy, a transplant, medication-based immunosuppression, or due to immunodeficiencies, asplenia, allergies, or a Covid-19 infection.
- Vaccinations can be administered directly during the consultation.
We also offer a range of vaccinations (including against seasonal flu and TBE) for healthy people aged 16 and over without a doctor's consultation at our pharmacy. You can find more detailed information about this here.
