Pastoral care in the hospital
Our guiding principle – being closely connected to people. Being in hospital is a challenge for many people. Torn out of their familiar surroundings, they experience first-hand the tension between despair and hope and are personally confronted with suffering, dying, death - or with birth and a new beginning. We are here for the patients, their family members, and the hospital staff.
Our commitment
A stay in hospital throws us out of our familiar everyday life. This challenges our inner equilibrium and can raise some fundamental questions. We are committed to recognising what moves you, to take the time to listen to you and to support you. We treat everything that you may mention as confidential, given that we are sworn to the secrecy of pastoral care.
Our services
In addition to face-to-face conversations and prayer, we also arrange blessing ceremonies, farewell rituals, church services, communion celebrations for small groups and organise the communion service on weekends. We will be happy to put you in contact with your congregation, your pastor, or your religious community, as you may request.
Room of tranquillity
Our room of tranquillity awaits you on the 3rd floor of our hospital. It is a place for quiet contemplation, reflection, and prayer in the midst of everyday hospital life.
